Our Priority is Having a Positive Impact

For years we’ve supported the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development—a group focused on achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Targets for 2025 include delivering affordable broadband services in developing countries and connecting micro-, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

As part of a company-wide initiative, we invite employees to volunteer their time to non-governmental organizations such as orphanages, food banks, and homeless shelters. Intelsat also matches employee donations to charitable causes like the American and International Red Cross, World Vision, and Team Rubicon.

Through the Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce Job Shadow program, we host a group of STEM students from local high schools who visit with and shadow our engineers, participating in a hands-on satellite model-building competition and observing the day-to-day work of our satellite controllers.

In support of the Mindset Network, Intelsat provides satellite bandwidth that enables the delivery of quality educational resources to schools, homes, community centers, teacher centers, and public health facilities throughout the African continent.

Since our founding more than 50 years ago, Intelsat has a proud history of responding to crises all over the world. The Intelsat Disaster Relief program is an employee-led initiative that combines the talent, passion, and technical expertise of our employees to respond to humanitarian crises across the world.
