Intelsat 36 (IS-36)

Successfully launched on 24 August 2016, IS-36 is designed to enhance Intelsat’s media neighborhoods serving Africa and the Indian Ocean regions, and is co-located with IS-20 at 68.5° E. The Ku-band payload supports MultiChoice, the leading direct-to-home platform in South Africa, and the C-band payload provides in-orbit resilience for Intelsat’s leading video content distribution neighborhood.

Intelsat 33e (IS-33e)

Successfully launched on 24 August 2016, IS-33e is the second, in the plan of seven, Intelsat EpicNG high-throughput satellites. This satellite brings high throughput capacity in both C- and Ku-band to the Africa, Europe, Middle East, and Asia regions. Intelsat 31

Successfully launched on 9 June 2016, IS-31 is a Ku- and C-band satellite. The C-band payload will enhance Intelsat’s C-band infrastructure serving Latin America, and DIRECTV Latin America will use the Ku-band payload to expand its current Direct-to-Home (DTH) entertainment offerings for Pan Americana, and provide backup and restoration services. The satellite will be co-located with Intelsat’s Galaxy 3C and Intelsat 30 satellites at 95°W.

Intelsat 34 (IS-34)

Successfully launched on 20 August 2015, IS-34 is a Ku- and C-band satellite. It replaces Intelsat 805 and Galaxy 11 as the third in Intelsat’s leading Latin America, pan-regional video distribution neighborhood (which includes Intelsat 11 and Intelsat 21). Intelsat 30 (IS-30)

Successfully launched on 16 October 2014, IS-30 is a Ku-and C-band satellite. The Ku-band payload, identified as DLA-1, provides distribution services for DIRECTV Latin America, with precision antennas that enable video delivery to hundreds of different local markets in the region. The C-band portion enhances Intelsat’s existing C-band service infrastructure serving Latin America. Positioned at 95° West, IS-30 is co-located with Intelsat’s Galaxy 3C satellite.

Intelsat 23 (IS-23)

Successfully launched in October 2012, IS-23 provides enhanced capacity for enterprise, oil and gas, and data networking applications. Replacing Intelsat 707 at 307° East, the satellite provides C-band services to customers in the Americas, Europe and Africa, and Ku-band coverage for Latin America.

Intelsat 21 (IS-21)

Successfully launched in August 2012, IS-21 is part of Intelsat’s fleet replacement and expansion plans. IS-21 replaced the Intelsat 9 satellite. IS-21 serves the Latin America and Caribbean media community with the highest cable head-end penetration in the region, as well as hosting a thriving DTH community. IS-21 also carries a mobility beam to provide South Atlantic coverage in Intelsat’s global Ku-band mobility fabric. IS-21 is the 133rd satellite built for Intelsat.

Intelsat 20 (IS-20)

Successfully launched in August 2012, IS-20 provides C-band and Ku-band for cellular backhaul and VSAT services. Intelsat 20 also hosts the largest DTH platform in Africa. IS-20 replaced Intelsat 7 and Intelsat 10 at 68.5° East.
