Occasional Use

Working with Intelsat, you can transmit breaking and scheduled news events, provide comprehensive coverage of major sporting events, distribute syndicated programming and leverage new media applications such as file transfer or IP streaming. With Intelsat, you can easily book capacity on our global satellite fleet as well as our IntelsatOne® terrestrial network. Your Occasional Use (OU) service can be as short as 15 minutes or can last for as long as several weeks or months.

With Intelsat, you can:

  • Access the satellite industry’s largest pool of global OU capacity
  • Obtain dedicated capacity on key routes
  • Schedule services on the IntelsatOne terrestrial network including teleport uplinking/downlinking, encoding/decoding, format conversion and fiber transport
  • View and book OU capacity via our online tools (WebScheduler and Connector)
  • Access our customer portal, MyIntelsat, for active capacity, special events calendar, routing logs and pending charges
  • Receive 24/7 booking and operations support from our Occasional Use Service Center (OSC)
