Global Coverage

Continuous broadband coverage is achieved by linking C-Band global beams with Intelsat's GlobalConnex teleport infrastructure, iDirect based hubs, state-of-the-art Global Network Monitoring System (GNMS) and Automatic Beam Switching (ABS), providing vessels with seamless coverage from one ocean region to another.

Guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) / Committed Information Rate (CIRs)

Offering guaranteed, engineered CIRs, diverse user profiles and burst capabilities from 128kbps up to 512kbps, based on a flat fee per vessel per month. The Intelsat Network Broadband Global Maritime is designed to provide a highly reliable service supporting all vessel applications, such as: VoIP, web-browsing, email, real-time file transfers, VPN connectivity, as well as vessel and fleet management information exchange.

Offered as a wholesale service Intelsat provides the hub management, teleport and Internet backbone connectivity, allowing you to benefit from the costs economics of a shared, managed platform while maintaining your operating autonomy and customer control through remote Global NMS Access. • Primary iDirect hubs located at Intelsat's Fuchsstadt and Riverside teleports, with backup iDirect hubs in Mountainside and Atlanta
• Service pre-determined for 2.4m C-Band remote antennas
• Use of iDirect 5100 modems
• Partitioned access through iDirect's iBuilder, and iMonitor to the Global NMS allowing you to commission, monitor and manage your sub-networks and customer's fleet
