Commercial Hosted Payloads are platforms that leverage an Intelsat commercial satellite bus to gain timely, economical and responsive access to geosynchronous orbit. Each Hosted Payload is designed to match a specific communication need, and the sharing of a spacecraft bus platform and the “ride” into geostationary orbit offer customers numerous benefits using a dedicated satellite payload.

As the world’s largest commercial fixed satellite services operator, Intelsat typically procures 2 to 3 spacecraft per year. Hosted payloads can be part of a future Intelsat satellite. Intelsat currently is executing a vigorous satellite replenishment program, the largest and most robust in Intelsat’s 45-year history. Each spacecraft is designed for an operational life of 15+ years, offering a long-term solution today for future communications needs.
