Intelsat, Ltd., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services, announced that attendees at TelCap’s International Telecoms Week (ITW) second annual conference will have an opportunity to attend a full day of satellite-related panels and presentations, hosted and sponsored by Intelsat. ITW 2009 will be held in Washington, D.C., 1-3 June 2009, at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel. The satellite seminars will take place on Tuesday, 2 June.
In today’s converged world of communications, telecommunications operators require integrated network infrastructures that provide the flexibility, support and resilience needed for local, regional and global connectivity. Intelsat’s conference sessions are designed to highlight how satellite-enabled solutions can be used to enhance the application offerings of established terrestrial and wireless networks. Panel participants from leading corporate network operators, carriers, wireless operators and governmental organizations will discuss some of the most pressing issues confronted when upgrading communication platforms.
Intelsat business leaders will moderate the sessions. Panelists will include executives from companies such as Digicel, Ericsson, Bell Canada, Verizon Business and Cisco.
In addition to the satellite conference track, Intelsat has reserved an entire hall at the Marriott Wardman Park that will house its pavilion, private meeting rooms and Innovation Theater. In its Innovation Theater, Intelsat will present educational workshops for its customers throughout the three-day conference. Topics include link budget analysis, interference mitigation, satellite fleet additions and terrestrial infrastructure enhancements.
