Juch-Tech Contracts Capacity on Intelsat’s IS-14 Satellite; Offers Expanded Services to Africa

Pembroke, Bermuda, 8 April 2009

Intelsat, Ltd., the world's leading provider of fixed satellite services, announced today that Juch-Tech Inc. has signed a multi-year agreement with Intelsat for capacity at 315º E. Service initially will start on Intelsat’s IS-1R satellite and migrate to Intelsat’s IS-14 satellite, scheduled for launch later this year.

This agreement also includes assuming operations of Intelsat’s LinkStar and DVB platforms at 315º E. Juch-Tech is a global service provider offering broadband communications services to North and South America, Africa and the Middle East. The agreement provides a growth path for its successful LinkStar service to Africa.

“Our contract with Intelsat represents an opportunity for us to grow our customer base in Africa, ensuring we have the satellite capacity we need to continue delivering broadband services for years to come,” said Walt Juchniewicz, Juch-Tech’s CEO. “As we fully integrate the operations of the Intelsat LinkStar and DVB platforms into our business, we will continue to provide the same level of service to which the existing customers are accustomed, with future upgrades to DVB-S2 once we migrate to the IS-14 satellite.”

“We’re pleased to partner with Juch-Tech to provide on-going service for the customers of these two platforms. Juch-Tech is a proven service provider with a track record of strong technical competency and service excellence,” said Jay Yass, Intelsat’s Vice President, Network Services.
